Why People Use A Surf Rashguard

By Lila Barry

A surf rashguard is necessary for all surfers because without this you are going to develop a rash on your arms and under this area as well. If you out for a short surf, then it may not be necessary. Some people have padding on their boards, but it is not as effective. These can be replaced by wetsuits, but this is not always realistic.

In warmer waters, people don't want to spend a fortune on wetsuits. It is not necessary to do this because you can spend a long time in the water without getting cold. You can just go in the water with a pair of shorts or a bikini. However, a rash vest is needed if you are surfing or if you are surfing for a long time.

The friction that it creates when you rub your arms against the board will make your arms go red. This is if you have no protection. It may help if you have a wetsuit, but not all surfers want this because in a place like Hawaii, for example, the waters are a lot warmer and you don't need all of that extra heat.

Surf schools often use these rash guards because it helps keep everyone together. You can get into a wild panic if you are a surf instructor, but the tension will somewhat eased with all students wearing the same colors. They will be easy to spot if they are wearing something like bright neon yellow in color.

It will also be nice for a school if they have designed these vests in a special way. This is a nice way of branding the school. They could have their logo on the front as well as on the back. This is a great way of advertising the surf school, and others in the water may start to ask questions an even head over and book a couple of lessons for the family.

Surf shops also sell something especially custom designed with their logo on the back. It is better to have the main logo on the back because surfers have their backs exposed most of the time. These vests could be sold a lot cheaper than the others. However, it doesn't mean that the quality should be that much inferior.

If you sell these at an affordable price, people are more likely to buy them. It would be worth your while because you will get free advertising. Most kids will want a vest with a famous label on the front, but when parents have already spent a lot of money on other equipment, they will not feel like spending more money on an expensive rashguard.

Some people will only buy famous brands, but then you get people who will feel that these should only be worn by the pro surfers. You have to decide for yourself what kind of surf rashguard you are looking for, and this depends on a number of factors. Some are thinner than others, and this depends on how often you surf because they will get worn out quicker. Some are short sleeved and some come with a longer sleeve.
