Appropriate Usage Of The Different Kinds Of Rambo Rugs

By Arline Bradley

Most modern homes are simply not complete without an animal as a member of the family. It is not unusual to visit the home of someone you know and see an array of pets like birds, cat, dogs, even rats. The more brave ones keep spiders and snakes and other poisonous creatures. Some are fascinated with bugs. Still most others have with them relatively bigger pets like cows and horses and other four legged creatures who wear rambo rugs on their backs.

We have animal companions for various reasons. One common reason is for companionship. Animals are good house mates who will never make you feel alone. They will even follow you around, wherever you may decide to go. They can also be kept for your protection. Most households have dogs to keep their homes safe and to warn them of intruders.

Animals also help us when it comes to finances in the household. Poultry farmers sell chicken and duck eggs for a living. Some even sell live ones to those who also wish to start their own poultry farm or to those who are involved in the food business. Others enter their pets in pedigree shows and show of these animals in front of an adoring crowd. Sometimes, dogs and horses are bred for this purpose.

Keeping an animal close by can be very hard. They, like us have different needs and wants. Aside from giving them comfortable living spaces, they should also be well fed. Buying their food alone can cost hundreds of dollars. Trips to the veterinarian to ensure their health are also a must. They need to be cared for, and to completely do you must buy animal products to aid you.

Horses, in particular, have a different set of needs and wants. They need to have a stable where they could stay, because you obviously can not keep them inside the house. They also need a lot of room where they can move around. You can keep them fit by allowing them to exercise by running unrestrained on huge open areas like pastures. If you do not have grasslands nearby where they can graze, you need to bring them fresh forage everyday.

Since the coats of these animals are kept trimmed, they have a low resistance to heat and cold. This is why you must provide them with horse rugs or blankets to keep them warm or cool, depending on the temperature. These blankets come in different types, each with a special purpose.

One such type is the turnout blanket. It is made up of warm material that will help the horse retain body heat to keep it warm during winter and cold weather. Its warmness also depends on its weight, so you can choose between the heavyweight, medium and lightweight turnout. Neck rugs to protect the head and neck are almost often paired with this type of rug to provide utmost protection against the cold.

Another type of covering is made of fleece. This helps the beast to stay cool, especially after a bath or after a rigorous workout session. This material helps absorb water from the body of the animal.

It is very satisfying to care for an animal. If you love them, they will love you back. In fact, they will even love you for a lifetime.
