Yoga is becoming very popular. Almost everyone is doing it or has tried it at one time or another. Yoga is good for many things and that is what we are going to inform you of. Many people turn to yoga to relieve stress, but it does far more than that.

Yoga as we know is good both physically and mentally. Everyone of all ages are actually really getting into yoga because they know the great benefits that it does have as far as reaching wellness goes. Yoga impacts your mind, body and soul.

Yoga began in ancient India. During that time the purpose of yoga was to center the body, mind and spirit. Yoga today is also about the same thing, we are taking something great from the past and using it currently today.

Yoga as we all know is good with helping relieve stress. Yoga also has other benefits such as helping control diabetes, high blood pressure and asthma. I'm pretty sure if you have any of these health issues you'll probably be running to do yoga now.

While yoga may not be for everyone, it does hold many mental and physical benefits for a wide variety of people. "I am absolutely in love with yoga and what it offers," said Traci McKinney, yoga class participant. "The class has helped me become less stressed, more flexible and stronger over the past few months I have been participating. I have also decreased my body fat percentage and lost more than 10 pounds and six inches."
